Day Trip: DIA Beacon
This is why you work hard in the city, so you can get away to enjoy all NY has to offer, like this gem only a few hours away. to get there take the metro north to Beacon and prepare to zone out.
I always make a day to come here every few months and unplug, it’s the best thing to do solo. It’s something about the grounds and how they’re kept I suppose all I know is I’m not the only one who also agrees that this place is fantastic.
Getting There:
From Grand Central:
Take the Hudson Line on the Metro-North Railroad heading towards Poughkeepsie Look for a train that stops at Beacon. (You can purchase a ticket at Grand Central from a kiosk or via the MTA eTix app).
The trip will take around 80–90 minutes Sit back and enjoy the views of the Hudson River along the way!
ARRIVING: At Beacon Station: Once you arrive, it’s just a short 10–15 minute walk to DIA Beacon.
